Formerly the New York State School-Age Care Coalition, AfterSchool Works! New York is the official state affiliate of the National Afterschool Association and serves as a non-profit membership association for afterschool professionals in New York State.

Through an extensive network of intermediaries, training organizations and child care resource and referral agencies, we provide information, training, credentialing and support to afterschool professionals in order to build high-quality, sustainable afterschool programs that meet the needs of children, youth and their families.

Our association serves practitioners, policy makers, researchers, and administrators representing all public, private, faith-based, school-based and community-based sectors. Our members work in school age child care programs, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA’s, 4H, Parks and Recreation Departments, and other before school, after school and summer programs.
